Himuki - "Hold On" ft. Sene
Now I don't usually listen to da hippity hop music, but I've never been one to write off an entire genre of music. This song is pretty great.

Major Spoilers shout out!
I feel terrible. I've been meaning to give these guys props on the show for two weeks now, and both times I have failed. Stephen, Matthew, Rodrigo, if any of you guys are reading this, know that me not giving you guys shout outs on the show does not reflect any lack of appreciation that I have for your site and everything you do, it only reflects on the short term memory that have.
I HATE EVERYTHING.

Mindset Page 1 and 2.
Page 1: Mindset issue 1.
Panel 1:
Wide panel. All Black. Nothingness. This is just a black panel. Easy to draw right?
Panel 2:
Wide Panel. We should see this from a first person perspective. We see the top and bottom of the panel bordered in black. In between the black we should just see a bit of the hospital stuff in front of him. He’s blinking awake.
Panel 3:
Wide panel. Mirrors the first panel. We should see just a bit of black bordering the top and bottom now. The hospital setting in front of him is more clear.
Panel 4:
Wide Panel. Same as before. This time there is no black bordering. The hospital room is in full detail.
Panel 5:
Big Panel. This should take up the remainder of the page. Gregory Winston is drawn in full headshot glory. He has a bit of 5 o’clock shadow on him. He should be square jawed, appealing, with a dazed look on his eyes like he’s squinting. He needs a haircut. His head is still resting on the pillow or he can be propped up
Blurb:
This is Gregory Winston. Right now, at exactly 10:23 on July 19, 2009, he is awakening from a coma that he’s been in for the last two years.
Page 2: Mindset issue 1
Panel 1:
Tall Panel. We should see Greg’s full body, in his hospital gown. He’s attempting to step out of his bed. He should be holding onto his IV stand for support.
Panel 2: (Right of the tall panel)
Small panel. Close up on his face. He’s looking down at his body. He has his eyebrow raised. He should still look really groggy.
Blurb:
At 10:24, He thinks he’s noticed three .45 caliber bullet wounds that are recovering nicely.
Pane 3-5:
Each of these panels will show the consecutive body parts. It should be obvious from the scars that they were stitched up. In panel three we se a shot of the area just above his knee cap, then in panel four a shot of his arm, and in panel five a shot of the area right on his chest. The blurbs will coincide with these shots.
Here. Here. And Here.
Panel 6:
Just Word box. No pictures.
At 10:25, he realizes these wounds don’t worry him.
Panel 7:
Small Panel. Greg’s foot has slipped. Maybe both feet should be off the ground. Whatever. Just make it obvious that he slipped. All we should see in this panel is a slipping foot, and a bit of background, but only if necessary. Nothing else.
Panel 8:
Wide Panel. Should take up the rest of the row. We see a look of panic on his face as he’s falling. He should be truly scared. Have his hands up in a panicked motion. He’s helpless. Have his IV stand flying up as well.
Blurb:
What DOES worry Gregory Winston, as he looses his footing and prepares to crash to the floor of the hospital room at 10:27...
Panel 9:
This panel should take up the rest of the page. Sky shot. Greg is lying on the floor of the hospital. Nurses and doctors are rushing inside
Blurb:
Is that he can’t remember how he got here in the first place.
So? Interested?

Cage the Elephant

Okay, so I've heard some good things about these guys. Cage the Elephant. So I trusted an investment of ten bucks into buying their CD and listened to the album straight through. Cause that's kinda my rule for myself. I have to listen to the whole album like that, no interruptions. Otherwise I'll never finish the album because I'll keep replaying the songs I like and never get past the fourth track. ANYWAY, I don't think it was a waste of money. This is a pretty good debut record. I'm likin' the style they have. It's rock, but there's some hinted bluesy sounds. It's like alternative with a old school soul a little bit. But it feels really fresh at the same time. Just my take. In a short paragraph anyway. I could go in depth and type a bunch more but that would just be boring.
Right, so, this is Things I Like. I like this album. Give it a listen.
Peace fools,
-Bree

My opinion is better than yours because I'm on the Internet!
No? Still here? Okay, let's do this!
Materialism. It's frowned upon in society. If you love something enough that you wonder what your life would be without it, a lot of people find that conceited. I'm afraid I can't agree. Loving your material possessions isn't an inherent bad, it just makes you human. If you came home to find your house on fire and saw all of the things that you worked so hard to attain go up in smoke, chances are you would be devastated right? Anyone would be. And if not being materialistic means not taking pride in you personal purchased prizes (why yes that was alliteration!), then no one can claim to have this trait. After all I'm sure there are plenty of poor people that would like to have more possessions and a more comfortable life; does that make them materialistic? As long as you don't let materialism consume your way of life, you can't blame yourself for indulging yourself every once in a while.
SOAPBOX OVER!
Throw it down, Shut it down,

Morpheus approved of this Halloween
So, Halloween. Somewhere around the age of twelve people stop deciding to go trick r' treating and instead go with one of two options: If you're a girl, you take up the opportunity to dress up as something slutty that guys won't admit to fantasizing about and then get offended when guys look at you. If you're a guy, you get to stare at the girls who dress up as something slutty and then get prepared to be slapped by said offended girl.
...I had a point here somewhere... Anyway, this halloween I went out to a party dressed up as Morpheus and talked up with a bunch of people and sang in Rock Band until my voice gave out. This was a all good fun for about an hour until our live band showed up. "Grieve for Tomorrow" played an awesome 45-minute metal set that got us all in a moshing mood. Good times all around a really awesome way to spend the end of the month
